A 56-year-old man has reportedly been burnt to death after fire ravaged a 23-storey building.
The victim, identified as Kwadwo Fordjour, died in the incident which occurred at Asafo YF street in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region.

Reports indicate the fire, which lasted for more than two hours, started from the deceased person’s room at around midnight on June 17.
The down floor of the building was badly affected with six rooms completely destroyed.
Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Fire Command, DO3 Desmond Ackah after visiting the scene said the incident was caused by a water heater.
Patience Asiedu, formerly Nana Agradaa, a self-acclaimed evangelist has been handed a fine of Gh¢ 46,000 for operating television channels without certification and displaying what the court deems as ‘charlatanic’ material.
The Accra circuit court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Essandoh, the former priestess was convicted on her plea having pleaded guilty.

According to court document, Agradaa was fined GH¢36,000 for operating TV without appropriate documents from the authorities.
She will spend three years in prison with hard labour if she fails to pay the fine.
She was also fined GH¢10,000 for the display of charlatanic materials on live television. She will also spend a year in prison when she default in payment.

It will be recalled that Nana Agradaa was arrested on April 22 by the Police and National Security joint team. Her two television stations were raided and shut down.
Subsequently, she was charged with offence of charlatanic display contrary to section 137 of the criminal offence Act 1960 and section 110 of the Electronic Transaction Act 2008, Act 772.
Agradaa pleaded guilty to charges to the charges and was granted GH¢500,000 self cognizance bail.
Later, she denounced her ‘gods’ and announced her conversion to Christianity. She adopted the name Evangelist Patricia Asiedu.
