The founder for Addison International Centre for Emotional Intelligence, Mr James Kwesi Addison has admonished media personnel and organisations to churn much of their energies in promoting the Ghanaian culture.
He made this pronouncement during the Matriculation of the first batch of students and Commissioning of the Practicals studio of De-Saint Multimedia Institute on Saturday, July 3 at Enyan-Maim in Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region of Ghana.
” Ghana has a very unique cultural setup that cannot be found in any other part of the world”, he said.
He stressed that our chiefs have played instrumental role in the past to ensure peaceful coexistence between people in the community. “When a matter is taken to the palace, the chief would use his authority to take over the matter. This is what is called alternative resolution. But what do we see today? We have packaged it in other way where people have to pay for it”, he asserted.
The manager of the De-Saint Consult and the administrator for De-Saint Multimedia Institute, Mr Vincent Kweku Afriyie on his part assured the general public on the institute’s preparedness to meet the challenges of today’s media through their courses. ” Nana Chairman, De-Saint Consult is here to solve the challenges of today, including the media. The team of professionals assembled for the training of our students is indication that we are committed to our solving the problems of today’s media”, he said.
De-Saint Multimedia Institute is a media training institution founded by Mr Fiifi Michael and award winning Journalist in Ghana as a form of showing appreciation to the people of Enyan-Maim for the awesome support he has enjoyed from them in recent years and also to provide the opportunity for his people to meet their dreams of becoming media presenter or a journalist.
The institute operates under De-Saint Consult, a registered business entity which has the mandate to undertake skills development training and engage in other businesses in the media fraternity.
Eight students, comprising seven males and one female were matriculated on the day, a section that was led by the patron of the institution, Mr Wisdom Adomina.
