Nana Akyem X, the Odzikro of Efutuakwa in the Mfantseman Municipality on Thursday, 15th July, 2021 presented eight sets of teachers furniture to the headmistress of the basic School in the above community to help the teachers in the discharge of their duties.
Nana did the presentation in a short ceremony which was held at the school compound and attended by high profiled personalities in the district including some chiefs and friends.
In an interview with Ahotsew Radio/TV, he said he had identified the problems of the school and is committed to solve them.
“About three weeks ago, the new headmistress came to me to present the problems they are facing as a school. She talked about the lack of furniture and inadequate classrooms. I therefore assembly my people to do something about it and this is the start of the project,” he said.

Also, Nana Akyem X used the occasion to advice other chiefs to be responsible to their subjects. He said being a chief means you are elevated above your people and such elevation comes with responsibilities.
“You see, when you are made a chief, there is a huge task placed on you. That is the reason why you are carried in a palanquin to signify elevation and every elevation comes with responsibilities,” he concluded.
