The much-anticipated results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been released by examination body, WAEC.
A total of 4446,321 candidates from 965 schools sat for the examination.
This figure according to press release by the Communication Director of West African Senior School Certificate Examination is 12.6% higher than the 2020 candidates of 375,736.
The statement further explained that, the 2021 entry figure was made of 221,437(49.4%) males and 224,884 (50.1%) females
The provisional results indicate that there were improvements in the performance of candidate at Grade A1 to C6 in English Language and Mathematics (Core) in 2021 as compared to 2020.
It also explained that 388 results have been withheld pending investigations
