The speaker of parliament has broken the norm by showing up for the second session dressed as a traditional chief.
Alban Bagbin ’s entry into the chamber was met with chants from the minority side of the house as his usual ceremonial outfit was ‘missing’ and in place, he had donned the traditional Kente over a white short-sleeved shirt with a chief’s crown. He has since been speaking about the need to promote traditional wear in the house and encouraging members of the house to wear traditional wear for sittings.
This is the first sitting since the house went on recess during the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2021.
Former HIV AIDS Ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah held her long-awaited press conference claiming she is free of all diseases including HIV. Joyce admitted that her latest live HIV AIDS test in front of a journalist in June 2021 was a cover-up and act.
She explained that the blood used for the test was contaminated blood purchased from a supplier she declined to name.
Joyce claimed that the Ghana AIDS Commission was losing money as a result of the news of her HIV negative report trending, therefore she was allegedly invited by some NDC gurus to do the test to establish that she had the virus.
” That test was used to save the Ghana AIDS commission and many people from prosecution. They would have answered questions as to why they sponsored an HIV negative woman like me with state funds.
When I Faked that report before the press, those people became free started getting sponsorship again ” Joyce disclosed in the press conference.
” Sadly enough, the money promised was never given. That is my pain now. More importantly I’ve never been sick. I don’t have HIV or AIDS ” Joyce Dzidzor Mensah added
