The Ajumako-Bisease, in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in Central Region was lit up on Friday, April 29, when Nana Esuon Wiredu V was installed as a chief (Tufuhen) of the town.
Amidst cheers, drumming and dancing to traditional tunes, the people in the community welcomed him to his new office with excitement.
The beautiful traditional ceremony drew people from far and near to the community, some of which were traditional rulers, business people, security personnel and many others.
Nana Damfo Baah VII, the odzikro of Ajumako-Bisease and Adontenhen of Ajumako Traditional Area, Nana Adu Buabeng VI (Ajumako-Bisease Omankrado) , Nana Kweku Bodaa IV (Ajumako-Bisease Bankumhen), Nana Essuman V (Ajumako-Bisease Nyimfahen), Nana Okoto Afful ( Abeadze Dominase Kyidomhen), Nana Damtsewaa IV of Ekumfi Esaakyir and many other traditional rulers graced the occasion.
In his address to the people, Nana Wiredu V showed appreciation to the chiefs and people of Ajumako-Bisease for supporting him to go through the initiation successfully.
He used the occasion to preach unity among the wives of the chiefs in the community.
“I thank all of you. I thank the chiefs, and thank the wives too. I suggest that we (the chiefs) should live together. The wives of the chiefs should unite. They should meet and put ideas together to support the chiefs,” he stated in a brief speech.
