The Ajumako Enyan Essiam District was curved out of the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the year 1988 and since then, the Assembly has operated from office premises that do enhance effective monitoring of staff due to the scattered nature of their offices.

Hon Rev Ransford Kwesi Nyarko, DCE of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam on the 25th August, 2022, handed over a site for the Construction of an Assembly Office Complex.
Ajumako Enyan Essiam District remains one of the oldest districts in Ghana but lacked an assembly office befitting its status. Some of its departments were located distance away from the main assembly which makes working, Coordinating and monitoring of activities difficult for management.
Addressing a gathering prior to the handing over of the site, Modern International Construction Company Limited, Contractors of the project, indicated their preparedness to execute the project on time and hopefully even before the stipulated duration.
Mr Kingsley Adjei Boahen, Chief Director at the Central Regional Coordinating Council who represented the Central Regional Minister stated among other things how the project would uplift the image of the district and boost development when Completed. He charged the consultants to ensure that the project is executed according to the details and on time.
Hon Ransford Kwasi Nyarko, DCE for the area who handed over the site to the contractors expressed his joy about the project coming into fruition. My dream on the assumption of office was to get a befitting Assembly Complex
The Disability Friendly Assembly Complex when completed shall include 39 offices to serve the various departments and units of the district as well as a 400 capacity conference to host meetings and other activities of the assembly.
