Know the winners on VGMA Day 1

The 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) commenced on Friday, May 6 at the Grand Arena.

The night, which is dubbed as the Industry Awards saw many fascinating scenes and performances from the industry players.

Celestine and Perez music opened the stage with great gospel music, which was followed by other top notch performances from the likes of Gambo, Amerado Burner and Kofi Kinaata.

Many artists, producers and instrumentalists were awarded for their works over the music calender.

The winner of the coveted music shall be revealed at main award on Saturday, May 7.

According to popular Instagram blogger Cutie_Juls, veteran Ghanaians actress, Nana Ama Mcbrown has welcomed her second child in Canada.

This yet to be confirmed story from Cute_Juls appears to be true because Nana Ama has been off our TV screens for some time now.

Even her duties as the host of UTV’s United Showbiz program have been outsourced to other celebrities.

Recall that last December, this same Cutie_Juls posted on her Instagram page that nana ama mc is pregnant and due for labour.

In this new development, the IG blogger has emphatically stated that the screen goddess has safely delivered her second child.

She wrote;

“We told you lots in December after confirming in a Canadian hospital that it was a success but y’all doubt us. Stop taking dming us with questions. Biko….”.

Shatta Wale’s mother now homeless; landlady evicts her over unpaid rent

This portal is reliably informed that Madam Elsie Avemegah better known as Shatta Mama, mother of celebrated dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has been evicted from her East Legon residence by her Landlady over unpaid rent.
According to ‘s checks, six years ago, Shatta Wale relocated his mother to the East Legon residence creating the impression that he bought the house for her.

After staying in the house for more than four years, the landlady started pestering Shatta Mama over unpaid rents.

The source emphasised that all attempts by the mother to reach out to Shatta Wale to settle the debts proved futile.

Since the landlady needed the house to rent to another person, Shatta Mama was evicted two weeks ago and currently homeless.

Ghanaian actress, Salma Mumin gifts dancehall act, Shatta Wale a car.

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has expressed his profound gratitude to actress, Salma Mumin after gifting him a car to support his Shaxi hailing business.

According to Shatta Wale, he was notified by his staff that Salma Mumin has gifted them a automobile to assist the enterprise.

“When you have rich friends, it’s soo cool. Thank you @salmamumin ,my shaxi team just told me they received the car you got to support 🙏” he wrote.

The “Taking Over” hitmaker recently unveiled his new initiative dubbed Shaxi, an acronym for Shatta Taxi, as a hailing enterprise aimed at creating job alternatives for the youth.

“Everybody knows I love the youth of Ghana and I always want to see them well. I want to see the boys and girls in the ghettos move from being unemployed to having gaining employment” he said.
