Homecoming Gala: Salem Beats Nyatsiadze To Book Their Place in Finals.

Salem reigned supreme in a marathon penalty shootout against their neighbours, Nyatsiadze on Sunday afternoon to qualify to the grand finale of the 2021 Homecoming Gala.

The match met the administration of the many supporters who thrilled Roman Park in the afternoon, when both teams’ determination produced a high-spirited game.

There were end-to-end actions from both teams, with considerable amount of chances created in both halves, yet none could find the back of the net.

Consequently, the lottery of penalties was resorted to. Nyatsiadze had the advantage to win the penalties, when Salem missed their fourth kick, but what should have been the last kick of the game was missed as well.

Salem goalkeeper, Sarfo put up a terrific safe to hand over the advantage to Salem, which they took to book their place in the grand finale.

Homecoming Gala: Nyatsiadze Deepens the Woes of Bantoma.


It was a nightmare for the defending champions, Bantoma when they lost 0-1 to Nyatsiadze in the final Group B match in the Nana Special Gala.

The lost has seen the champions booted out without obtaining a single point in this year’s competition.

Adams Woode second half goal for Nyatsiadze separated the men from the boys paving the way for Hon Martin Mensah’s guards to set up a difficult semi final encounter with their compatriots, Salem.


This year’s competition has seen very remarkable performances from Nyatsiadze and it is not surprising to see them in the semi finals.

The competition continues on Sunday 1st August, 2021 with the semifinals matches, where Nyatsiadze faces off with Salem and Etsifi taking on Station.

Ajumako-Bisease Homecoming Gala: Station Beats Bantoma to Qualify to the semifinals.


Station made it to the semifinals of the Homecoming Gala on Sunday afternoon when they narrowly beat Bantoma in a 1 – 0 win in their last group game of the competition as Group B leaders.

The first department of the game was balanced with each side creating chances but none of them could convert any.

Station showed their mettle in the second half when Rap Messi headed home from a fine cross to give his team the lead.


Bantoma played their heart out to seek equaliser but their efforts yielded no fruit. They now have to win their last group game against Nyatsiadze in regulation time to book their qualification to the semis. Any other results will put them out of the competition.

The final group matches will be played next week 25th July,2021. Etsifi, who has secured qualifications to the semis, will take on Salem. Bantoma and Nyatsiadze will battle it out for the last semifinal slot in a decider match.


Ajumako-Bisease: Etsifi Crashed Odumase in Homecoming Gala


Etsifi 11 tigers brushed aside their counterparts from Odumase in the opening match of the 2021 Ajumako-Bisease Homecoming Gala on Sunday July 11 at Roman park.

Legend striker, Opoto scored the only goal of the match to give Coach Kofi Beer’s side a 1-0 win on the day and to place them in the summit of Group A with 3 points and a pole position to qualify for the semifinals of the tournament.


Addressing the media after the game, Kofi Beer, who was adjudged the best coach for the week expressed his joy for overcoming his noisy neighbours in what many termed as epic encounter. “I told you that we would win. We put in much effort in our preparations and it has paid off. I am happy for this victory. I believe that we have the men to win this trophy” he said.


In the other match, Station defeated Nyatsiadze 4-2 in penalty shootout after the game had ended 1-1 in the regulation time. The match which failed to produce a winner was decided by the lottery of penalties where Station showed their prowess. Station took the lead through Kwame Nkrumah’s strike but Nyatsiadze equalised through an own goal from Peekay to push the game to penalty. Station leads the Group B table with 2 points whiles Nyatsiadze took home 1 point to place second.

The tournament continues on Sunday July 18, when Bantoma takes on Station with Salem battling out with Odumase.
